Millwater Gum Forest

Click map to enlarge. We start on Millwater Parkway, just before the Arran Drive Bridge, where there are a few parking bays. From there, we walk under the bridge to the track behind the short row of houses on Arran Drive.

We emerge onto Millwater Parkway again, and opposite Blake Greens there is a track into mixed gum and native forest forming a narrow reserve along the Ōrewa River.A longer version of this walk takes us under the motorway, through to Wainui Road, and then to the top of Millwater Parkway.

The track loops onto the road a couple of times and leads to a stormwater pond and a grassy stretch opposite Bankside Road. From there, we continue through Bankside Park, along Prospect Terrace, and back to the cars on Millwater Parkway.
