Southside Orewa Estuary

We meet at Estuary Arts (click on map to enlarge) walk to the first bridge on the south side of the estuary, and then take a short bush track up to Māori Hut Road.

We then continue to Pōhutukawa Avenue, which offers wonderful views of the estuary.

We return to the estuary path, pass under the bridge to the jetty in Amorino Park, then go back beneath the road bridge and on to the Arts Centre. One highlight of this walk is glimpsing the top of the large cactus garden, a striking feature from around the estuary.
